Santa Barbara Music News (Concerts, Music, Entertainment) – Business Card Design and Printing

These business cards were designed for Santa Barbara Music News, a new concert, music and entertainment online magazine, out of Santa Barbara.  The site features the concert photography of my husband, JB Brookman.  You can view his portraiture site here.  He does a similar entertainment publication in Hollywood with Hollywood Icon Magazine.  The cards are printed on a thick 16pt stock and are finished in a classy eggshell aqueous coating, making them feel luxurious.  The corners are custom die-cut to top off the design with some serious cool-factor.  🙂

I wanted both the card and the logo to represent the Santa Barbara surf culture, which was why we came up with the wave and fin.  Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas have a rustic, beachy, vinyard feel to them, which is how we came up with the battered wood background to bring the brand together.
