Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep- Postcard Design
This is one of the most powerful and meaningful projects that I have ever been a part of, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
Their mission is to provide the gift of remembrance photography for parents suffering the loss of a baby. Founded by Cheryl Haggard and Sandy Puc’, they are a nonprofit organization that has provided thousands of families of babies who are stillborn or are at risk of dying as newborns, with free professional portraits with their baby.
Their compassion and benevolence struck me right in the heart, as I watched the video on their about page, and during my first phone call with the executive director, I couldn’t hold back my tears. Their ability to fulfill such a sensitive need, with so much strength and dignity is inspiring, to say the least. It truly is a gift of healing for these parents and families.
To quote one of their photographers, “Understand that this is portraiture. The end result is not a snap shot…..It becomes quite a foggy cloud for them, and they have to be brought back to that moment of knowing that, in fact, they have a son or a daughter, and in fact, they were beautiful, and in fact, they have a name.”
NILMDTS has over 1,600 active photographers around the world. NILMDTS reaches every state in the United States and has been or is present in 40 countries worldwide.

Later this year, I’ll be sharing about another project we’re working on together!
All the best,
-JEN

Thanks so much for the shout-out! It was a pleasure working with you on this project. We just love the way the cards turned out and look forward to passing them out at the Imaging USA conference coming up in Nashville next month (and again at WPPI in Las Vegas!). We would be remiss if we didn’t also thank Marathon Press for there sponsorship of printing the cards. Truly it is the generosity and creativity of so many caring and compassionate people, volunteers, and organizations that allows Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep to provide such powerful and healing gifts to our families. Thank you, Jen!
